High rate covered anaerobic lagoons utilise a floating geomembrane cover with an integrated biogas
collection system and can be used as a cost effective alternative to the steel or concrete tank digesters.
The technology is less process efficient in terms of loading rate but it can provide an effective solution
where longer residence times can be tolerated and where space is not a key driver in terms of cost.
