General
F.L.I. Environmental Storm Block is an underground void for the
collection and storage of storm water generated from impermeable
catchment areas such as roads, car parks and roofs or collected
directly from a permeable surface or drainage ditch.
F.L.I. Environmental Storm Block allows up to 95% void storage
capacity in comparison with a typical gravel soak away which will
offer only about 30% void storage capacity by volume.
The containment lagoon can either be lined with a lightweight
filtration geotextile or fully lined with a impermeable geomembrane.
The blocks are manufactured using lightweight plastic with a high
load-bearing capacity that enables the surface to be trafficked by
vehicles following construction.
F.L.I. Environmental can offer a complete construction and
installation service of the system inclusive of the lagoon excavation,
geomembrane lining, block installation and surface restoration. |
