The Task
To supply and install a steep wall landfill lining system utilising a geogrid reinforced earth structure with high-density expanded polystyrene facing blocks, a High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) liner and an over liner protection geotextile.

The Solution
F.L.I. Environmental was awarded the contract to install the HDPE lining system and protection geotextile. The HDPE liner was constructed using fusion-welding equipment creating a central air channel within the formed weld for the purpose of air pressure integrity testing.

Creation of the reinforced earth wall and its subsequent lining required close co-ordination between the earthworks and lining contractor to ensure that the works progressed in an efficient manner.
